Tattoo-Preperation

  • DRUGS

Do not take blood-thinning medication 48 hours before the appointment, otherwise bleeding may occur during the tattooing. This includes aspirin, macumar, ibuprofen, paracetamol or similar pain medication.

  • SUNBATHING

Tanning or sunbathing must be avoided during this time, which irritates the skin unnecessarily. If you are sunburnt tattooing is taboo anyway.

  • GOOD SLEEP

It is best if you have had a good and well-rested sleep on your appointment day. A well-rested and healthy body is much requested.

  • FOODS + DRINKS

Go rested and as relaxed as possible to the appointment and make sure to have something to eat and drink with you (if necessary for longer sessions). This stabilizes the circulation during tattooing.

In addition, you should eat a proper, but not too heavy meal and drink plenty, an empty stomach can cause circulatory problems. Alcohol is taboo today, drugs are not allowed!

  • VACCINATION

You should also check your vaccination status. Especially tetanus and possibly hepatitis should be up to date

  • ALCOHOL

24 hours before the tattoo appointment you should refrain from alcohol. This promotes blood thinning. In addition, a 'hangover' also makes it much more painful. The body needs the power to break down the alcohol, and would be too limp for tattooing.

  • SPORTS

Excessive sport should not necessarily be on the plan. The skin is also better supplied with blood, tattooing can lead to greater bleeding.

  • SHOWER

The skin should be freshly washed, but not creamed. Cleanliness not only helps to prevent infections. A shower before the appointment is also beneficial for the tattoo artist, as they are very up close to a body for hours.

  • CLOTHING

Put on something comfortable and make sure the tattoo artist has easy access to your skin. Leave your favorite clothes at home and if possible put on something dark - it can always happen that ink splashes on the clothing.
